In a small Wyoming town, a disabled veteran lawyer is thrown into a perplexing murder case. A very engaging read from an author who actually served as an attorney in the Army. With his firsthand knowledge showing throughout the novel, this one is worth picking up.
Sold on a Monday: A Novel
This novel is a New York Times Best Seller for a good reason. The story unfolds with a photo and then things really open up from there. Set in the 1930’s, the tragedies of destitute families are heartbreaking and the secrets of Ellis and Lily are shocking. This novel takes you on an amazing journey and one that you’ll be glad that you took.
The Black Book
James Patterson (written with David Ellis) is up to his old tricks with this fast-paced novel. Billy Harney is the son of Chicago’s chief of detectives. He is also a cop and a straitlaced one at that. He and his partner, an adrenaline junkie, must solve a terrifying murder in Chicago and the search is on for the suspect and the missing black book. Good, quick read that will leave you satisfied.
